1950's Googie Atomic Westclock Alarm Clock

We all see vintage, 1950's mid-century alarm clocks, but the "Googie" style of this one, and the color (for the master bedroom, which needs more blue/turquoise) caught my eye, and... I snagged it.

The whole deal over my eBay IDs being blocked knocked me out for a few days, I have to admit. But I finally resolved it and went browsing on eBay again. I love "shopping" online too much to give it up. And, there is no place like eBay to find the variety and great deals I find there.

Happy Saturday to all my friends! Very busy lately, will try to catch up on all your blogs. :)

  8. LOVE the clock! I used to be a big fan of shopping on eBay, and I still buy things there occasionally. But I am an Etsy girl now. I used eBay for handmade items, craft supplies, and vintage goodies but when I found those same things on Etsy I've sort of switched sides. I fell in love with the community and the sellers are generally very friendly, trustworthy, and appreciative of their customers. EBay is definitely bigger, but Etsy is catching up. Searching for Mid Century Modern, for example, turns out over 13,000 results. http://www.etsy.com/search/vintage?ref=auto&q=mid+century+modern

  11. Super cool! Turquoise is such a great color! I just learned the word Googie from Etsy the other day. Etsy used it, so I looked it up.

    I googled Googie.

  13. Ha ha--my sister gave me the nickname Gogie when we were kids. Does that mean that I'm cool, too? Yeah, right. I do love the clock and it looks like something that would've been in our house back then--maybe not in the color, more probably beige. I must've missed your post on your problems with eBay--wha hoppin?

  14. I went through a phase of collecting Westclox. I've now got about a dozen of them in a box somewhere. The Big Ben ones were always my favourite :) Emma
