Mid century Tivoli Mobile in red, white and blue, and... All mine! Great for Fourth of July celebrations and on display in the Space room all year long. As a bonus it comes with it's original box.

Did any of you see this fantastic, 1950's pink tripod birdcage? I thought about getting it....

I really thought about it...
But... I passed on it. Sold for $41, a really good price, if you ask me. Did one of my blogger friends get it? I hope so!
Happy Friday!!

Wow...very cool birdcage. At different stages of my life I've had birds, and that's what I'd want if I got one again.
ReplyDeleteI love the mobile. I never knew what to call those things until now. I always referred to it (in my head) as a ball spray. lol
ReplyDeleteMe too, Dana, I really wrestled with buying that cage. So cool!
ReplyDeleteMoondoggie, I suspect other companies made these "mobiles" so I'm not sure that's the "official" name. I call them atomic ball sprays too lol....
That mobile is cool!
ReplyDeleteGreat bird cage too.
that bird cage is gorgeous!! where was it?
ReplyDeleteeBay, LL. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL...Ball Spray....sorry! Too funny. That bird cage is a beaut!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!!! I love that bird cage!!!! (although I don't like birds!) that's just divine, I just love the things you find!! x
ReplyDeleteI was just looking at my lovely ball thing today... LOL
ReplyDeleteSo imagine my suprise when I saw yours!
I am always wondering the actual name for these also.
AND OH MY LORD! BIRDCAGE!! It is STUNNING! I would have wanted it too!
lol.... Ball spray IS funny lollll....
ReplyDeleteI'm trying SO hard not to "fill" the house up!! It's been so hard to get rid of the stuff I have already, but I like open space, so... Have to pass on some of these things. :/
Gosh, I wish I had seen that bird cage! I want it!
ReplyDeleteI have a very similar ball mobile, looks like the same manufacturer probably. Mine has more, but smaller, balls and is orange and yellow. I've had it forever, and it's one of my favorite things. I think I found it at a thrift store.
They fetch a stiff price, Susie. Funny how certain things always sell for what I consider fairly high prices.
ReplyDeleteI have another myself, but it sits on the base, there is no "stem" and it's black and white. :)
Oh my gosh, I've had a bunch of those mobiles for years (found in thrift stores), and I never knew what they were called -- I always called them "astro bouquets!" Thanks so much for teaching me something new... and yours is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteSoooo loving that bird cage. Super cool! If I didn't have a cat, a cage like that would make me NEED a bird! $41 sounds like a steal too.

I had the birdcage before, but the stand wasn't like that one! Very cool.. I didn't see it though.
ReplyDeleteBack to the 'ball spray'... :D
ReplyDeleteMaybe I got the term from you, Ms Atomic!
I also like 'astro bouquet' and 'ball thing'.
:)
I think I got the name from the way sellers describe this thing. Most don't call it a "mobile" because they don't have the box, nor do they know that's what it's called lol..
ReplyDeleteHoly Crap! That looks similar to something I got on Craigslist last year...but without the birdcage part! http://www.flickr.com/photos/suzy8track/4749384890/in/faves-cacomx/
