Wow, this was one of those occasions when I wasn't really looking for one of these, and was sure it would sell for the usual price of $150 - $300 like they always do on eBay, but was able to snag this on a whim for $40!!
$40!!
How could I say no to that??!

I wasn't even trying, really. I guess all the other people looking at this missed the auction? Was a surprise to me!
Happy Sunday everyone. I am going through the boxes in the closet, in the master bedroom. Purging a lot of old stuff. It's really very liberating, and makes for a lot more space!
Hope you are getting the things done you want to do. :)
.
.

I need to purge the whole house...all closets and drawers. Soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a steal on the table! I've never seen one like that. It is very cool! Hope to see photos with plants on it.
Wow, that is a real find, and so cheap!
ReplyDeleteWowee! That is a steal! I've stopped looking at them on eBay because they always go for so much. I guess that's a lesson to be learned - keep watching anyway!
ReplyDeleteWill do the same. MCM, purge the whole house.
ReplyDeleteYeah, imagine my surprise when this came up as being sold in the USA, too. One of the reasons why I haven't gotten one of these was because shipping from Germany or wherever was also cost-prohibitive.
I'm really shocked!
Toss those things in your eBay "watch" list, once in a while it really pays off!
such a cool score...:)
ReplyDeleteThis plant stand is absolutely FAB! I'm jealous!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words.
ReplyDeleteYou have a fabulous blog.
XXXXXXXXXXXXX
Thanks, sacramento!
ReplyDeleteOMG that's simply just gorgeous ;-)) I have never seen one like that before, well done you. Enjoy it when it comes, dee x
ReplyDeleteI never heard of these before eBay. I love seeing what other mid century stuff was made in other countries, so I am glad to finally get something not "made in America" (as far as I know lol).
ReplyDeleteWow VERY NEAT plant stand!! What a steal!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great table...and what a great price. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteGreat buy! I've seen those for sale and they're never that cheap. Congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteI have these types of stands in miniature for my midcentury dollhouses, and they usually cost close to $40!!! Great find!! :)
ReplyDeleteWell done, it's fabulous! Love the colours too. x
ReplyDeleteConsidering all the disappointing buys on eBay, I hope this is one of those rare deals for me!
ReplyDeleteWow! Love it - I just scored black and red barkcloth drapes for my dining room. Not really cheap, but with extra fabric left from when the drapes were originally made makes it a special buy. Now, you table would look awesome in my dining room . . . . :-)
ReplyDeleteThat table is amazing! and for only $40! You lucky broad!
ReplyDeleteOh man you lucky girl! That is so different and cool!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you won this and for such a great price. I had it in my "watch list" just to see how much it sold for. It's the first one I've seen on Ebay from the USA.
ReplyDeleteOh my Christa, those curtains would be perfect in my living room lol...
ReplyDeleteYeah, fingers crossed I got a good deal this time!
First one I noticed too, Krazy4Mod. I almost bought one in Germany with a BIN for $150, and a s/h of $150. I'm glad I skipped that one. :)
Love the plant stand, what a great deal!!!!
ReplyDeletewow that is a great deal! Even over here they cost the earth as they are usually sent from Mainland Europe not the UK, so not only is the plant stand expensive but like you shipping too! That really is a steal!
ReplyDeleteOMFG that is beyond awesome! Has a look that reminds me of that german lava stuff. Too cool for schoool this one, top score and I'm very extremely enormously jealous. Not that I'd have anywhere to put a table like that...but since when does that matter?? Ha ha ha, well done.
ReplyDeleteSO cool, so fab, so mod! What are you going to put on it? Plants or knick knacks?
ReplyDeletePurging the house? Please, when you are done, come to my house.
Shipping on this is only $35, which is a LOT better than the $150 from Germany!
ReplyDeleteAhhh a lava design! Good description! And I have a few lava pieces of pottery too. =)
I do have a couple plant chargers I could use with this, but I'm not big on having houseplants, too many chances for accidents with water spillage.
Ha ha Helen, I still have 3 more closets to go back through, endless drawers and a whole Studio that now has extra furniture and kitchen appliances waiting to be installed. What a mess!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous and the price is right! Double-win!
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOD THATS TO DIE FOR!!!!! greaaaaaaaat steal!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a cool find! I've never seen anything like that.
ReplyDeleteThat is an absolute bargain, and I'm completely jealous! I want one to put pots on, never mind plants. Have only ever seen them for the expensive prices you've mentioned though. Just have to keep searching... Emma x
