Whoah! That must have been SOME cherished memory for the winning bidder. Maybe some richie rich who has deep pockets and really wants to relive the past!
I wouldn't pay this much for the lamps I'm looking for, that Mom used to have. And believe me, not only can I afford it, but I'm trying really hard to relive the past lollll
hmm - you try and find something unopened from the 1970s - hehe - its the packaging more than the object at this point - retro 70s and 80s is real popular right now - things like old chip bags and candy wrappers -

ReplyDeletegosh that does seems a little crazy, no idea why!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. I wouldn't pay more than a dollar. Maybe they know something we don't...or maybe they're just more gullible. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm scratching my head over this one! Maybe a couple of people who decided they wanted these, and were silly enough to bid completely out of control!
ReplyDeleteHow many of us have found chairs, couches, lamps, starburst clocks etc etc for this price!
But some 1970's satin egg kits? You have to be out of your mind! lol...
It boggles the mind. Okay, my mind came pre-boggled but really, that didn't help matters.
ReplyDeleteWow! They are so very pretty eggs! That does seem alot to pay for them, but maybe they did not know the value of them?
ReplyDeletecoz some people have more money than sense?
