Carlo Of Hollywood Frames

These awesome vintage mid-century blond Carlo of Hollywood style frames would have looked fantastic with my new blond table set in my master bedroom, but geeeeez, did the auction HAVE to end at $128? For frames?!

Needless to say, I was NOT the high bidder. I simply cannot justify spending as much on frames as I did for the table and two nightstands... I just can't.

Sigh.

Damn, but they sure would have looked great!!

Happy Monday, hope you are snagging better deals than I am!

  1. Those are pretty cool and funky.

I know you want vintage, but maybe you should find some nice woodworker and have him/her make you some. ;)

No deals here. I can't afford any at the moment.

  2. Those aren't anything you couldn't have made for half that price!

  3. Not sure how easy those would be to make due to the odd shapes but that still is waaaaay too much moolah for five frames, Carlo of Hollywood or not. Good freakin grief!!!

  4. Yeah, cool as they are, as much as I want all 'vintage' in my home, I'll settle for some different 50's frames, or good repros from Target lol...

  8. I think they are super cool, however I'd go repro or make them unless I won the lottery!

  9. UGH. i love these frames and have tried to make them before. It so difficult because they lean inward. I'm hoping to randomly find one at goodwill. yeah right.

  11. Those are delightfully fun! Amazing what they went for though. I can't help but think that it might be be more economical at the rate to commission a local carpenter or framing specialist to make your similar reproductions style frames.

Wishing you a beautiful Wednesday & festively fantastic December ahead!
