I lost my Dad in 1994, and it still hurts so bad - and doesn't seem real. Despite his flaws, like so many men from his generation -he was a strong, hard-working Dad who clearly loved us more than anything. Zootsuitmama
Happy Father's Day, dads of the world! Your dad was a dashing lad in his day, wouldn't you say? Thank you for stopping by ye ol' blog earlier. Means a lot to me....
Awww, these stories of lost fathers upsets me so. I almost wish we could do away with Mother's Day and Father's Day, it just brings back pain for so many people :(
I love this picture of your Dad. I, too, have a WWII vintage Dad. He is 87. I just lost my precious Mom this past December. It was so painful. They are a wonderful generation of people. Thanks for sharing.
Bringing my childhood 1950's, post-war, baby-boomer, mid-century atomic ranch style house back to her former glory.
I post antique, vintage, retro items, photos, links and topics daily (sometimes more!) for your viewing pleasure and mine. I am a professional artist and movie lover in addition to being the CEO and entrepreneur of my businesses, among many other things.
