1950's Whirlpool Pink Fridge

You know, this pink fridge WOULD also look good in my kitchen lol... $100 in Vegas, baby. Only 4 hours away ha ha.

Well, appliances are due to arrive this morning. Lots of work to do to get a spot ready in my Studio. Boy does my Studio need new carpet and a new paint job! Oh well, it IS a garage, after all ;)

Lots of happy anxiety over this, I'll be glad to have it a "done deal" without a hitch ***fingers crossed***

The cost to have it delivered is much more than the cost of the items *yikes* but the only way I could get all this was because the bid price was so good. Thanks Scot!!

I'll let you know how it all goes, in case you ever entertain the idea of buying something big from somewhere like eBay!

Hope you are having a happy Saturday!

  5. A Pink Fridge. Now that's what I call the most amazing thing ever for a pink 50's kitchen! I suggest you go get it now!

Hope you have a good weekend

  6. good luck with getting all your appliances 'settled'!

That's a very cute fridge, I'd be doing the drive! But then I would have a warehouse full of stuff if I lived over there...

  7. I had an old pink fridge years ago - it didn't last long. I do love me a nice pink vintage appliance, though. I only have blue - in our 1940's bathroom. Neat stuff!

  8. Excited to see your studio too! The pink refrigerator is so cool. If I only had an unlimited budget AND if I lived on the mainland, what fun it would be collecting all this stuff. Well at least I have your blog to visit. sigh..... :) Pam @ Sallygoodin

  9. It's difficult NOT to have a warehouse full of stuff, STM!

I think I will be doing quite a few giveaways after I get the whole house settled. I might have acquired a few too many things.

As much as I strive for:

"Fewer, bigger items" as opposed to a lot of smaller items, I still may have too many smaller items.

Hey, some things you just... Can't... Live.... Without lol... =)

  10. We used to have the best pink fridge. I can't remember if it was a Hotpoint or Coldspot, but whatever. Was hauled away in the 1980's waaaa...

I'll get another one eventually. I have to limit my spending, and have to save for yucky stuff like plumbing and electrical work boo =(

  12. It slipped, it slipped lol... Once I saw how much space my appliances took up in the Studio, and how much mooooolah I am going to have to shuck out for crap that won't even be seen like everything under the house and behind the walls, my wallet just had a mini myocardial infarction!

    Get the paddles! Clear!

  15. I'm going more the avocado route in my kitchen since everyone around here still hates avocado so I get stuff cheap. I'm actually very happy with my (white) stove since it's vintage and I don't want to push hubby tooooo hard by suggesting we start replacing everything with hard-to-find expensive vintage pink stuff. He doesn't "do" pink or wicker.

  16. Christine, I think 70's and 80's decor will be the next "gotta have." 80's in particular, mark my word.

But yes, you can get the 70's-80's things cheep cheep cheep right now, so you'll be ahead of the curve!

P.S. Mom loved wicker, but I don't lol... Her little wicker couch and chair set is going on the back porch tho.

  17. That pink fridge is too darn perfect. Its hard to find them still in running condition. When I found Fred, my vintage fridge I snapped it up, but it was only $25 bucks. Maybe that pink one is Fredwina!
