Whew, she's mine!
I needed another table like I needed a hole in my head, but I simply could not pass this beauty up! It's MUCH more retro than the two asian-style chow tables I planned on using in the living room.
I needed something turquoise to go with the turquoise in my "new" barkcloth curtains, and this came along.
Thank you vintage gods!

That is truly cool! Happy you!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow!!! Nice table. It even knows a trick, balancing on only two legs. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat b*tch better have a third hairpin leg!
ReplyDeleteThe seller has low feedback and doesn't seem to sell very often. I have my fingers crossed this will get here in good shape...
***Biting my nails***
That is SUPER-COOL!!
ReplyDeleteSweet Table!!!
ReplyDeleteEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek! I love it!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWOW it's beautiful! I need myself some vintage God's! *lol*

ReplyDeleteWHAaaa?!?? OK that may be one of the most phenomenal 50's coffee tables I have ever seen!!! Aqua and black and hairpin legs, oh my! Ok no I think it's the best... OMG. That table is STUNNING! Congrats!!! I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteErr.. I mean... *cough* it's "alright"..if you want I can take it off your hands...haha!
Super cool!!
ReplyDelete*gasp!* How unique - Two boomerangs in one! Does the bottom one swivel out or is it one solid piece?
ReplyDeleteGood luck w/ the delivery, keeping fingers crossed that all goes smoothly. I had one last year where the seller upped the shipping after I won the item, took forever to deliver it, then had my name address and phone ALL wrong so the shipping service couldn't find me.... grrrrr!
Yeah I just got the lamp I won last week with $12.50 owing. I should have sent it back and refused the extra. Oh well. So that soured the deal (unless they pay the difference, good luck to me for getting it).
ReplyDeleteI'm nervous as a cat in a dog kennel about this.... lol...
Excited, hoping it arrives and all is well.
if not, I am swearing off eBay lol...
LOVE IT! Actual retail price?!?!?! Score for you, (you do know this year 2010 is the year of the Turquoise and Boomarang's right?!) What a find!
ReplyDeleteSwearing off eBay, hmmm? Liar liar pants on fire! Just like I did, right. Awesome table. Hey, since my dad just lost HIS leg, that means you'll be getting that third leg FOR SURE. Whoops, sick humor, but actually he'd think it was funny (and yes, I got my sense of humor from him).
ReplyDeleteWow! That is the most fabulous boomerang table I've ever seen! Where on earth did you find it?
ReplyDeleteAnna
Thats a beauty!
ReplyDeleteWow. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteTooo awesome! I'm sure you'll be offering this one up in a give a way, right?? (choke choke)! Seriously, I'll bet the third leg is on the other side. Zootsuitmama
ReplyDeleteWow! That table is superb.
ReplyDeleteuh, yeah, I would die at that point. Albeit happily.
ReplyDeleteHa ha and as always, thanks for the replies. I had a bit of a panic attack at the cost. Not terrible, but I always sweat the pricier things.
ReplyDeleteBought it on eBay and got a reasonable price because the seller did NOT use any keywords such as "boomerang" or "Eames" or "Hairpin legs", it was only advertised as "1950's Table" nothing else. So I think fewer people saw it.
This is why spending hours searching eBay pays off... Sometimes...
I'll be thrilled when it arrives safe and sound.
I love to search ebay using simply "1950". You scored! Love it, love it, love it!
ReplyDeleteAmazing table! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteAs always, thanks for all your comments!
ReplyDeletei'm super jealous!
ReplyDeleteThere's one of these exactly the same on ebay right now for $125,000 or best offer. Awesome table by the way! My wife and I are very envious.
ReplyDeleteWow, I just checked, and you are right! No way is he going to get that much. Heck, you can make one for $100 =/-
ReplyDeleteI suspect they are reproductions, bought mine fully aware of that possibility. I did google to see if they were current repros and found none, so it may have been a 1980's repro.
It's TOO "classic" to be an original 1950's design. ;)
hey wonderful table , wher are you finding stuff / we are doing bye bye birdie and i am on the hunt , would appriciate any feedback . thanks
ReplyDeleteGOD bless you
nancy
