Sewn With Love

1quilt

We all have at least one handmade quilt around, don’t we?

3quilt

Some were never finished, but the materials were chosen carefully.

2bquilt

And some were not fancy, but made with love, still.

4quilt

And some are threadbare and worn.

6quilt

And sometimes the material is gone completely from some spots.

9quilt

And some are torn, but still loved.

7quilt

And some are patched.

8quilt

But each stitch was done with love.

  2. Love old quilts. Last year, I learned how to hand-piece hexagons. You have a photo of one that looks like a flower. The pattern is called Grandma's Garden. Instead of playing games on my computer every night, I'm hand sewing a quilt. Maybe I'll finish it before I have grandchildren...this better be a very long time!!!

  3. Ha ha!

Yes, Grandma's garden, that much I know, thank you.

I know very little about quilts, just that I picked these up for a song over the years. Nothing special except I love that so much time went into them.
